The Hero Effect

Directors:  Jared Lemon

Screenwriter:  Jared Lemon, Dan McCarthy

Genre:  Superhero

The Hero Effect tells the story of two teenage girls who unwittingly become superheroes by way of too much curiosity. Once they discover they are empowered, the girls decide to take to the streets in typical superhuman fashion. They end up in a situation that changes their lives forever, and brings to light family mysteries beyond what they could have possibly imagined. (Starring Madison Miller, Marisa Versteegh, Sierra Sandison, and Jared Lemon; Currently in post production; Coming May 2014.)

The Chronicles of Dan

Directors:  Jared Lemon

Screenwriter: Jared Lemon, Dan McCarthy

Genre:  Comedic Thriller

The Chronicles of Dan was inspired by Jared's good friend Dan McCarthy; laden with inside jokes, Xavier Charter School's senior class embarked to make an award-winning XCS film festival entry. The story was simple enough: Dan (who has a life-threatening nut allergy) accidentally ingests a peanut butter cookie; instead of what one would normally expect to happen, he follows in the footsteps of the Joker, leading his clueless classmates to try and save him... at their own expense. The twist ending has proven to be effective and haunting, much to the creator's pleasure. It continues to be Lemon Studios' most-watched video on Youtube to this day.  (Starring Dan McCarthy, Adam Davis, Jared Lemon, and the Xavier Charter School class of 2013)

Xavier Is?

Directors:  Jared Lemon

Screenwriter:  Jared Lemon, Interviewees

Genre:  Documentary/Interview Series

Xavier Is? is a feature-length documentary/interview series on Jared Lemon's high school, Xavier Charter School. The purpose of the film was twofold: a) to act as Jared's senior project so he could graduate, and

b) to point out the pros and cons of the fledgling school for the arts. Met with resistance and criticism, Xavier Is? has caused controversy among its viewers, but ultimately (and hopefully) seems to have prompted some changes in the structure of Xavier Charter School. The entire film is available for viewing on the Lemon Studios Youtube. (Featuring Brie Edwards, Alleigha Bizik, Sosana Carpenter, Simon Halsell, Anna McCreary, David Crider, Ryan Crider, Kailee Hudson, Kailea Albrecht, and Lizzy Bennett)

The Catalyst of Healing was entered in to the Busisness Professionals of America state video contest,

which was aimed at combating perscription drug abuse. It placed 1st in the regional competition, and

3rd at the state level. A powerful message, The Catalyst of Healing uses a bond between siblings to

propel the message that "life if too valuable to waste it on perscription drugs." (Starring Madison Miller,

Erynne Pryor, and James Adamson)

The Catalyst of Healing

A spoof of the Mission: Impossible films, Mission: Improbable tells the story of some of high school's most intrepid secret  agents; laden with Machiavellian political theory, backstabbing, and other such intrigues, this film easily fits into its genre with flying colors.
